E-MU EMU Ultra E4XT 2.5 80GB IDE Hard Drive Proprietary Sample Archive ESX24

Greetings! These hard drives have been pulled from two different non-working E-MU Ultras with bad PSU (power supplies) that I picked up at a defunct performance studio/theatre company in Northern California there are seven more non-functioning Ultras that I’ll have in a couple of months time if you are looking for parts, give me a shout then. At-any-rate, both Ultra were custom fitted with a 80GB 2.5 IDE hard drive each consisting of E-MU proprietary sounds/sample sets which uses 54.72GB of disc space on an 80GB drive. I just wanted to pass a drive along to a professional electronic musician whom could use one of these drives in their E-MU Sampler Ultra, E4X, E4K or E Synth or, even someone who wanted to translate these with the Translator Pro software and do a file conversion so they could be brought into a DAW like Ableton Simpler (sampler), Apple Logic ESX24, Propellorhead Reason NN-XT, NN-19, etc. For E-MU users: IDE hard drives use less power consumption and are quieter than a 3.5 IDE or SCSI hard drive. There is 44-pin 3.5 to 40-pin 2.5 IDE ribbon adapter that connects the hard drive to the E-MU which is an e-a-s-y install. Both hard drives came up as MS-DOS (FAT) on my MacBook Pro which reads them fine both work as they should. Both drives have E-MU proprietary sounds sets and banks loaded into folders, the folders range from B.000 to B.181- meaning there are 181 folders total (sound sets) which contain lots of sound banks. I’ve got two of these up for sale. The winning bidder will receive one 80GB 2.5 IDE Hitachi hard drive 5400RPM with content ready to use in their E-MU sampler. Also, you’ll need to purchase an additional 3.5 to 2.5 IDE ribbon cable ($7.00) as well as a 3.5 to 2.5 IDE mounting adapter, bracket convertor ($6.00) so you can mount the 2.5 IDE drive inside your E-MU with ease. The E-MU samples will also work in non-Ultras as well via; E4X, E4k or E Synth as you’ll have a different connection route with additional adapter(contact me for info.). You should seek clearance if any of these samples or sound sets find there way into a commercial release composition or, mix, it’s only right, do your due diligence and act responsible. The library comes free on the hard drive which is for test evaluation purposes. Guaranteed to not be DOA and to work in your E-MU or, external drive enclosure.
